INSTALLATION OF SEPTIC TANK RISERS

Septic tanks typically have two covered openings on the top which enable access for pumping, maintenance, and inspection. When these openings are buried—often the case with older tanks—it is necessary to locate them and then dig down to access them to service the tank, and then replace the ground covering after service. The result is more time, labor, and cost, as well as inconvenience, each time service is required.

Risers are extensions to the tank openings: corrugated, round pipes that extend vertically from the tank opening to ground level where they are covered with a lid. They provide easy access to the tank, saving time and money each time a service is required.

If your tank has buried access ports, we can retrofit appropriate risers. Modern risers, constructed of polyethylene plastic, are strong, durable, and lightweight. When we perform septic tank pumping or provide another service, we can discuss riser options for your consideration.
